DNS

Verify DNS and email records

DNS lookup, propagation, MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC workflows for domain and email authentication validation.

DNS tools — when to use which

  • DNS Lookup vs DNS Propagation

DNS Lookup queries authoritative or default resolvers for the current answer. DNS Propagation compares multiple public resolvers to detect cache lag after changes.

  • SPF vs DKIM vs DMARC

SPF authorizes sending IPs. DKIM signs messages cryptographically. DMARC defines policy and reporting when SPF/DKIM fail. Use all three for strong email authentication.

Common questions

Compare authoritative DNS Lookup results with DNS Propagation across resolvers. If authoritative is correct but resolvers differ, wait for TTL expiry or reduce TTL before future changes.

Use the SPF Checker on Nexabit Network Utilities. Enter your domain and review mechanisms, lookup count, and syntax before sending production email.
